Tesla is making significant progress on its combined diner, drive-in theater, and Supercharger station in Los Angeles. Recent construction updates reveal that the main building and parking area are nearing completion. However, work on an adjacent lot suggests that the Supercharger facilities may not be operational for several more weeks.

Images shared by user AL Set on X (formerly Twitter) showcase the development, including the installation of new V4 Superchargers. While these charging stalls were initially covered, they are now visible, indicating advancement in the project's infrastructure. The main parking area is almost finished, and the adjacent lot is currently undergoing grading and paving to accommodate additional Supercharger stalls.

Although Tesla could potentially open the diner before the Supercharger lot is fully completed, there has been no official indication of such plans. Industry observers anticipate the diner's opening in the coming months, but Tesla has not provided a specific launch date for the entire facility.

The timeline of this project is as follows:

2018: CEO Elon Musk proposed the concept of a Tesla diner with a drive-in experience, roller skating, and dining.

2022: Tesla received initial approvals for the project.

September 2023: Construction commenced on the diner, drive-in, and Supercharger station.

March 2024: The first frame for the diner was erected.

As of January 2025, the project is approaching its final stages, with the diner and main parking area nearing readiness and the Supercharger facilities expected to follow soon after.
